Payroll Administrator, Belfast. 6 month Fixed Term Contract

What will I be learning?
On this programme, you’ll experience working in the Finance division at a large financial services firm. You will receive ongoing training from our in-house team to develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need to successfully perform the role of a Payroll Administrator. You will be instrumental in delivering accurate and timely payroll services directly on the client site.
What work will I be doing?
- Provide accurate and timely processing of all monthly company payrolls.
- Update and maintain payroll records for starters, leavers, contract changes, and variable pay awards including bonuses, overtime, pension, healthcare, ride to work, childcare vouchers, and other payments.
- Liaise with staff on payroll-related queries.
- Liaise with HR to ensure accuracy of employee data.
- Perform month-end reconciliations of payroll and reporting to meet internal and external obligations.
- Contribute to ad-hoc reporting and projects.
- Assist payroll integration projects with data cleansing, parallel runs, validating output, and problem-solving.

Essential Criteria:
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate evidence of the below. This can be in an academic, personal, work, or other context.
- Two years payroll experience
- Experience of in-house payroll systems
- Understanding of UK PAYE requirements and principles
- Experience of dealing with employee queries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Data accuracy
- Ability to work with & manipulate large datasets
- Ability to react to changing requirements and adjust processes and approach
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong personal organisational skills
- Right to live and work in the UK
Desired:
- Experience working in the financial services sector
- Commercial awareness and genuine interest in payroll
- Experience of using Workday Payroll
- Experience of non-UK locations in the EMEA region
- Experience of processing pensions
