Senior .NET / Cloud Developer

Job Title: Senior .NET Software and Cloud Developer

An exciting opportunity to be placed with our client, a leading global financial services organisation on a high-impact transformation programme. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Software and Cloud Developer to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge invoicing platform. If you are a self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities, this role is for you.

Role Info

  • Experience: 7+ years

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the target state invoicing platform using C# and Entity Framework
  • Leverage AWS services and scripting infrastructure as a file to build and deploy solutions (AWS experience highly desirable)
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and build deployment pipelines to optimise the development workflow
  • Write clean, high-quality, and testable code that meets functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing data for multimillion-pound monthly invoices
  • Minimise defects for SIT and UAT teams through strong attention to detail
  • Work with relational databases including SQL, PLSQL, PostgreSQL, and Amazon RDS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions aligned with business needs
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to new team members
  • Experience in RPGLE and CLLE is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ideally, experience working with broking and financial asset classes

Skills & Experience

  • Strong programming expertise in C# and Entity Framework
  • Experience with AWS services and infrastructure scripting
  • Proficiency in containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in building and managing deployment pipelines
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and query optimisation
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  • Financial services experience, particularly in broking and asset classes, is an advantage
