About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance / DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in both functional and automation testing, who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases across backend, UI, and database layers.
- Perform integration testing for REST/SOAP APIs and event-driven systems using Kafka or MQ.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to analyse requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct regression testing, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices to streamline testing and deployment.
- Champion agile testing best practices and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in both functional and automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in backend, UI, and database testing.
- Experience testing REST/SOAP services and Kafka/MQ-based applications.
- Solid understanding of requirements analysis, test case creation, regression testing, and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficient in Java or Kotlin.
- Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Hands-on experience with BDD testing frameworks.
- Cloud based qualification.
