Head of PMO – Platform Transformation Programme
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of PMO to establish and run a Programme Management Office (PMO) for a multi-year banking platform transformation programme within our international wealth management business. This strategic initiative will modernise core banking capabilities, enhance client experience, and enable scalable growth across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement PMO structure, governance, planning, and reporting frameworks.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme planning, including with 3rd parties, milestone tracking, planning change control and dependency management.
- Establish and operate risk management, ensuring proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, issue escalation, and dependency tracking processes.
- Implement and manage programme tooling (eg JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI) to support planning, reporting, and collaboration.
- Define and enforce project management standards , including documentation templates, status reporting, delivery methodologies and quality assurance.
- Build and lead a high-performing PMO team; define roles, coach, and develop talent.
- Define and embed programme roles and responsibilities across delivery teams and governance bodies.
- Ensure transparent communication and reporting to executive sponsors and regulators where applicable.
- Facilitate steering committees, programme boards, and executive reporting.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience leading PMOs in large-scale banking or wealth management transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of core banking platforms, regulatory environments, and operational processes.
- Expertise in programme governance, planning, risk management, and tooling.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile) preferred.
