Business Analyst, Investment Accounting Data and Transformation - London Hybrid - February start
Location: London, 3 days per week in the office

About the Role
We are looking for two Business Analysts to join us and support a financial services client on an investment accounting data change programme. You will work across current-state extracts and future-state data models, turning accounting and data requirements into clear delivery-ready tickets for engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
Analyse investment accounting and investment book of record data (IBOR or equivalent), including positions, transactions and accounting extracts.
Assess current-state accounting extracts versus future-state data needs, define gaps and actions
Produce data mappings between source and target, including transformation rules and controls
Define and maintain schema definitions, data dictionaries, and field-level specifications
Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria that developers and testers can execute
Create and refine JIRA tickets with developers, support backlog grooming and sprint delivery
Support testing and reconciliation, help teams validate outputs against accounting expectations
What We’re Looking For
2 to 6 years of Business Analyst experience in financial services, with strong data focus
Practical experience in investment accounting concepts and data, for example IBOR
Strong data mapping capability, comfortable working with schemas and structured datasets
Experience comparing current-state extracts to future-state design and documenting impacts
Strong requirements writing and acceptance criteria writing skills
Hands-on JIRA experience, creating tickets and refining them with developers
SQL experience is preferred, especially for extract validation and data investigation
Clear communication and structured approach to stakeholder discussions and documentation
