What will I be learning?
On this programme, you’ll gain hands‑on experience working in the financial crime department at one of Belfast’s most prestigious firms.
During your first week, you’ll take part in our award‑winning Simulate Academy, where you’ll build knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to thrive as a Financial Crime Analyst.
After completing your initial training, you’ll join the client team for role-specific training, supporting important regulatory and compliance activities that help major organisations strengthen trust in their business operations.
What work will I be doing?
You’ll support a variety of financial crime and compliance projects and processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks to help organisations assess risk and meet regulatory expectations.
Assisting with Transaction Monitoring, reviewing financial activity to spot unusual or suspicious behaviours.
Managing your daily workload to meet accuracy, productivity, and quality expectations.
Updating internal trackers and workflow tools to keep information accurate and up‑to‑date.
Suggesting improvements to processes and working closely with peers, team leads, and managers to enhance efficiency.
Adapting quickly to new approaches, tools, and procedures as projects evolve.
Building strong working relationships across teams and engaging confidently with client representatives.
What will I be gaining?
Structured training in both technical and professional skills.
Experience working at a top-tier organisation with opportunities for long-term progression.
Continuous development through ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
Opportunities to join social events, community projects, charity initiatives, and activities with others at the same career stage.
What are we looking for?
You’ll demonstrate:
Curiosity and a desire to dig beneath the surface to understand how things work.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
A collaborative mindset, but the confidence to manage your own workload.
Openness to feedback, adaptability, and a willingness to learn from new experiences.
Essential Criteria
We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate - through academic work, personal projects, volunteering, or employment:
A genuine interest in financial services, financial crime, risk, regulation, or analytical work.
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Enthusiasm, resilience, and a desire to grow quickly in a consulting environment.
That you are a team player, able to work with trust and respect with stakeholders of all levels.
