Operations Team Lead | Legal Data Services | Belfast Hybrid
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Belfast-based Operations Team Lead (Legal Data Services) to lead a team of Analysts who review and extract information from complex legal and commercial documentation. This is a hands-on people leadership role focused on driving performance, achieving SLAs, maintaining quality standards and developing high-performing teams.
This is a people leadership role first and foremost. You will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring service levels are achieved, maintaining quality standards and creating an environment where junior team members can thrive and develop.
Whilst a legal background or familiarity with reviewing legal agreements would be advantageous, it is not essential. We are particularly interested in individuals with proven experience leading operational teams, improving performance against KPIs, and delivering exceptional client outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Client Success, and Product teams, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth service delivery and the ongoing development of your pod.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop a team of Analysts, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
Ensure team and individual KPIs are consistently achieved.
Monitor workloads, productivity and capacity planning across the pod.
Drive performance through regular coaching, feedback and development conversations.
Ensure client service level agreements (SLAs) and quality targets are consistently met.
Act as the first point of escalation for operational and delivery-related issues.
Support onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies across the operation.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve challenges and enhance service delivery.
Produce and communicate performance reporting and operational metrics.
Champion best practice, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing teams in an operational, professional services or delivery environment.
A track record of driving performance against KPIs, quality measures and service levels.
Strong people management and coaching skills.
Excellent organisational and workload management capabilities.
Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience working with legal documentation or a legal background would be beneficial, but is not essential.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving operational challenges and delivering excellent service outcomes. You will be comfortable balancing day-to-day team management with a focus on continuous improvement, ensuring both your people and your clients are successful.
The role is based in central Belfast and will require 3+ days of office attendance per week.
If you're passionate about building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
